Overcoming the Fear of Success This week during my Strategic Relationship Marketing Seminar Series with Katidja Youssouf, we were introduced to Andre Smith, the CEO of Flip & Floss. Andre gave a very inspiring talk about his journey, his company’s approach to customer experience management (CXM), and his career advice. He started off the morning by sharing his personal story, explaining how he moved from Jamaica to Canada. He also mentioned how he attended York University, which I thought was cool because that is where I also did my undergrad. He then worked at CAMH and later at WSIB before making the bold decision to quit his job and start Flip & Floss. One of the most interesting things he spoke about was the "fear of success," which is not something people usually talk about.
